Holdem BlackJack InfoFirst, the setting of a Holdem Black Jack game is closer to poker than blackjack. The game is dealt around a poker table, not a blackjack table. There is a dealer, and a couple of blind bets, just like you were playing Hold'em. Everyone also tosses an ante into the pot, similar to the later stages of a no limit Texas Hold-em poker tournament. Players are all dealt a single card face down which is called the hole card. Holdem blackjack action proceeds around the table clockwise with players folding, calling, or raising the bet, just like in Texas Holdem. After the first round of betting, players receive a second card face up. This gives everyone else on the Hold'em black jack table a chance to see what their opponents may or may not have. A second round of betting now takes place similar to Texas Hold'em. During the final round of betting, players can continue to hit until they decide to Stand, or until they bust. All the cards dealt during the final round are dealt face down. Once the dealing is done, the final round of betting takes place!Betting in Holdem blackjack is a little bit different than in traditional Texas Holdem. The betting limits for a particular table are posted in the tournament lobby - but normally the first two rounds of betting are fixed limit, and the final round of betting is spread limit (there is a min and a max bet amount). After the final round of betting there is the showdown where all the hands are ranked and the winners takes the pot. Hold'em black jack hand rankings are fairly simple. The best hand is called 7 Card Charlie which is being dealth 7 cards without going over 21. The next best hands are 21,20,19... with busted hands being the worst. Suites do not matter in Holdem Blackjack (AJ of clubs is the same as AQ of spades). Holdem BlackJack StrategyAvoid playing too many weak Holdem blackjack starting hands such as fours to sevens. If you want to be successful at Hold'em black jack, stick to playing aces and tens as much as possible. You will get the best holdem black jack odds playing Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks & Tens and you will hopefully get 21 in round two so you won't have to fold to other players bets (or bluffs). How to bluff in Hold'em blackjack is tricky. It is usually very hard to bluff in Hold’em Blackjack since you’ve got one card face up, but sometimes it is possible too. For example: in Holdum blackjack, if you’re showing an ace but don’t have 21, and you feel your opponents have weak hands you may be able to push everyone off their hands by bluffing. It can sometimes be very profitable to play some lower hands in Holdem blackjack. If you are showing a low card, your opponents will not be worried about your hand and you can surprise many players. If your first two cards make 10 or 11, you can often end up with a monster hand that few other players will give you credit for. This is when you use the opportunity of the spread limit structure in the final round to make your hand pay off big time by betting large (other players are likely to call you if you are showing a low card).
